Bearing packaging method and basic requirements

Bearing package description

Bearing packaging is divided into inner packaging and outer packaging. After the bearing is manufactured and passed the inspection, it will be cleaned and anti-rust treatment, and then put into the inner packaging to achieve the purpose of waterproof, moisture-proof, dust-proof and impact-proof, maintain the quality and accuracy of the bearing, as well as convenient use and sales.

Bearing inner packaging materials include polyethylene plastic tube (box), kraft paper, plain and wrinkled polyethylene composite paper, paper box, polyethylene or polyethylene plastic film, nylon fastening tape or plastic woven fastening tape, waterproof high-strength plastic tape , Linen bags, etc. All the above materials must be qualified in the corrosion resistance test.

The principle requirements for the bearing inner packaging method:

1Miniature bearings: Every 10-15 sets of bearings are put into a plastic tube, and every 5-10 plastic tubes are put into a carton (or bag) then roll package.

2Medium and small bearings:

Multiple sets of bearings are first packaged with polyethylene film, and then packaged with kraft paper or polyethylene composite paper;

Multiple sets of bearings are packed into a plastic tube (box);

A single set of bearings is packed in polyethylene film bags, folded or sealed, and then put it into a carton.

3Large bearings:

Pack the bearing by using a polyethylene film or polyethylene composite paper, and then put it into a carton after a single set of packaging;

Pack the bearing by using a polyethylene film bag, after packing a single set of bearing ,fold the bag mouth, and then put it into a carton;

Put a single set of bearing into a special plastic box;

Single set of three-layer wrap packaging:  use a polyethylene film tape or composite paper tape for the inner layer, fastening tape for the middle layer, and waterproof and permeable plastic tape for the outer layer.

4Extra large bearings:

Single set of three-layer wrap packaging (same as above)

Single set of four-layer wrapping package: After the above three-layer wrapping package, the outermost layer is wrapped with a layer of linen tape.

For separable tapered roller bearings with an outer diameter of ≥150mm, the inner and outer components should be packed with polyethylene film, or the inner and outer components should be packaged separately.

For interchangeable cylindrical roller bearings with an outer diameter of ≥150mm, because the complete package is easy to be damaged, the inner and outer components can be packaged separately.

The general materials and requirements of outer packaging of bearings are as follows:

①Double corrugated boxes, for packing the total weight (gross weight of each box does not exceed 25kg, bind outside of the box with plastic straps;

②Nail board box (wooden box), for the total weight of each box does not exceed 30kg, bind outside of the box with blue steel tapes;

③ Calcium-plastic corrugated box, for the total weight of each box does not exceed 25kg, bind outside of the box with plastic straps.

When packing bearing products with inner packaging into the box, the box should be lined with plastic bags or plastic film; if there is any space in the box, it should be filled with dry materials such as corrugated paper blocks and paper scraps.

The inner packaging of the bearing is divided into three categories according to the anti-rust period:

①Short-term rust-proof packaging: The rust-proof period is 3-6 months, suitable for bearings that are shipped to the same subscriber in large quantities and put into use in a short time. By agreement between the two parties, simple packaging can be adopted in accordance with the principle of convenience.

②General anti-rust period packaging: One year of anti-rust period, suitable for general-purpose bearings.

③Long-term rust-proof packaging: Two years of rust-proof period is, suitable for special and precision bearings.

Short-term anti-rust packaging is suitable for bearings that are shipped in large quantities to the same subscriber and will be put into use. According to the agreement between the two parties, the use of simple packaging is adopted on the principle of convenience, which saves time, effort and cost, and is mutually beneficial to both parties.
