Carburized bearing steel

Carburized bearing steel is actually a high-quality low-alloy structural steel, which contains lower carbon and a certain amount of alloying elements, and has higher requirements for purity and organization uniformity of steel. After carburizing and heat treatment, quenching and tempering, the surface hardness is 58～62HRC, the core hardness is 25～45HRC, the surface wear resistance is good, and the core has good toughness. Bearing parts made of carburized steel, can not only withstand heavy impact loads, but also has high wear resistance and contact fatigue strength (caused by the surface of the bearing parts after heat treatment in a state of compressive stress). The processing performance of carburized steel is also relatively good. Especially suitable for withstanding Large-scale bearing parts with heavy impact loads and large manufacturing dimensions, such as large-scale rolling mill bearings, automotive bearings, railway bearings, and bearings with special structures, but not suitable for bearings made of high-carbon chromium bearing steel.

Commonly used carburizing bearing steels are:

20CrNiMoA, 20CrNi2MoA: used to manufacture automobile, tractor roller bearings and railway freight car bearings that can withstand large impact loads;

16Cr2Ni4MoA: used to manufacture aero-engine main shaft bearings that can withstand impact loads;

12Cr2Ni3Mo5A, H10Cr4Mo4V: used to manufacture roller bearings that withstand strong impact loads and work under high temperature conditions, such as high temperature bearings for aero engines;

20Cr2Ni4A, 20Cr2Mn2MoA, 20Cr2Mn2SiMoA: used to manufacture rolling mill bearings and extra-large bearings ，that can withstand high impact loads, as well as small and medium-sized bearings that has high safety ,can withstand heavy impact loads, such as automobile wheel bearings.
