Plane bearing

The plane bearing consists of a plane cage assembly with needle rollers or cylindrical rollers and a plane washer.

Function

Needle rollers and cylindrical rollers are held and guided by a plane cage. When used with different series of DF plane bearing washers, many different combinations of bearing configurations can be provided.

Advantage

Due to the use of high-precision cylindrical rollers (needle rollers) to increase the contact length, the bearing can obtain high load capacity and high rigidity in a small space. The advantage is that if the surfaces of adjacent parts are suitable for raceway surfaces, washers can be omitted to make the design compact. The cylindrical surfaces of needle rollers and cylindrical rollers used in DF plane needle roller bearings and plane cylindrical roller bearings are repaired. Shaped surface can reduce edge stress and increase service life.

Main components

The plane needle roller and cage assembly are the main components of the plane needle roller bearing. The roller needle is held and guided by radially arranged pockets. The section of the cage has a specific shape and is formed by hardened steel strip. The small size cage is made of industrial plastic. The diameter grouping tolerance of high-precision needle rollers is 0.002mm to ensure uniform load distribution. The plane needle roller and cage assembly adopts shaft guidance. In this way, even if the surface is guided at a high speed, a relatively low peripheral speed can be obtained. If the surface of the adjacent parts is designed as a raceway surface to eliminate the washer, a particularly space-saving support can be obtained. If this scheme cannot be implemented, under the condition of sufficient support, the use of thin-walled steel AS series washers can also make the design compact.

Product Series

This bearing is composed of a flat cylindrical roller and cage assembly, a bearing seat positioning ring GS and a shaft positioning WS. 893, 874 and 894 series flat cylindrical roller bearings can be used for higher loads. The cage of the planar cylindrical roller bearing can be stamped from high-quality steel plate, or can be made of industrial plastic, light metal, brass, etc., and users can request it according to the use environment.

Installation principle

The plane bearing mainly bears the axial load in the assembly, and its application is wide. Although the installation operation of the plane bearing is relatively simple, errors often occur during actual maintenance, that is, the installation position of the locking ring and the loose ring of the bearing is incorrect. As a result, the bearing loses its function and the journal is quickly worn. The picture shows the locking ring installed on the end face of the stationary part, that is, incorrect assembly. The inner ring of the locking ring and the journal are in transitional fit. When the shaft rotates, the tightening ring is driven and friction occurs with the end face of the stationary part. When the axial force (Fx) is applied, the friction torque will be greater than the resistance torque of the inner diameter fit, resulting in The mating surface of the locking ring and the shaft is forced to rotate, which intensifies the wear of the shaft journal.

Precautions

Pay attention to the following points when installing flane bearings: (1) Distinguish the lock ring and loose ring (according to the inner diameter of the bearing, the difference between the diameter of the hole is 0.1~0.5mm). (2) Distinguish the static parts of the mechanism (that is, the parts that do not move, mainly refer to the assembly). (3) No matter what the situation is, the release ring of the bearing should always rest on the end face of the stationary part.
