Thrust ball bearing
DefinitionEdit this paragraph
The rolling body is the ball's thrust bearing.
Thrust ball bearing is designed to withstand thrust load at high speed and is composed of a pad-shaped ring with a ball rolling groove. The thrust ball bearings are divided into two types: a flat base type and adjustable thrust ball bearings. In addition, the bearing can withstand axial loads, but not radial loads.
CompositionEdit this paragraph
Composition of Thrust ball bearing:
Thrust ball bearing is composed of housing washer, shaft ring steel ball, and retainer assembly.
Those fitted with the shaft are called shaft rings, and those fitted with the housing are called housing.
ClassificationEdit this paragraph
Type of Thrust ball bearing:
The bearing capacity can be divided into one-way thrust ball bearing and two-way thrust ball bearing.
Unidirectional thrust ball bearing can bear unidirectional axial load.
Bidirectional thrust ball bearing can bear bidirectional axial load. Bidirectional thrust ball bearing with ring and shaft mating. The mounting surface of the seat ring is spherical bearing, which has the performance of centering and can reduce the influence of mounting error.
Thrust ball bearing cannot bear radial load, its limit speed is lower.
The characteristics of
1 The bearing is available of mounting on the machined part in one - way and two - way types ;
2. Either mounting in one-way or mounting in two-way, a spherical self-aligning spherical seating type or one with a type of spherical seating can be selected ,so that small mounting error is allowed;
3. High quality steel -- ultra-clean steel that can extend the bearing life up to 80%;
4. High grease technology -- Lubricant technology extends the life of grease and improves the performance of bearings;
5. High-grade steel ball -- quiet and smooth when rotating at high speed;
6. The ring used in the options is allowed small mounting errors;
UseEdit this paragraph
It is suitable for the machined parts that only bearing one axial load and low speed, such as crane hook, vertical pump; vertical centrifuge, jack, low speed reducer, etc. The shaft ring, seat ring and rolling body of the bearing are separated and can be installed and removed separately.
Double thrust ball bearingEdit this paragraph
Bidirectional thrust ball bearings consist of a row of steel balls (with a retainer), a shaft ring (close fitted with shaft) and a seat (fitted with a clearance of the shaft and close fitted with bearing seat hole). The ball rotates between the shaft ring and seat ring. It can only bear axial load in one direction, but not radial load. Because the axial load is evenly distributed on each ball, the load capacity is larger. While operating, the temperature rises larger and the allowable limit speed is lower. Thrust ball bearings do not limit the radial movement of the shaft or housing, but do limit the axial movement of the shaft and housing in one direction. Therefore, such bearings are usually used in combination with deep groove ball bearings.
