Clearance
The clearanceEdit this paragraph
Bearing’s clearance refers to the amount of movement of the inner ring or outer ring when the bearing is not installed in the shaft or the bearing box, and the unfixed one is convenient to move in the radial or axial direction. According to the moving direction, it can be divided into radial clearance and axial clearance.
DefineEdit this paragraph
The bearing clearance is also known as the bearing clearance.
Introduction Edit this paragraph
Bearing clearance is divided into radial clearance and axial clearance
Radial clearance: the amount of radial movement of a ring from one extreme position to the other position in a radial direction that relative to a fixed ring in the absence of load when one ring is stationary.
Axial clearance: the amount of movement of a ring from one extreme position to the other position in an axial direction that relative to the fixed ring, when one ring is stationary in the absence of load.
Measuring the editorEdit this paragraph
During operation, the size of operation clearance (called working clearance) has an effect on the rolling fatigue life, temperature rise, noise and vibration of the bearing.
When measuring the clearance of a bearing, a specified measuring load is generally applied to the bearing in order to obtain a stable measuring value.
Therefore, the measured value is larger than actual clearance (called theoretical clearance), that is, the amount of elastic deformation generated by the measured load is increased.
But for the roller bearing, because the elastic deformation is small in the bearing, can be ignored.
The internal clearance of the bearing before installation is generally represented by the theoretical clearance.
Answers to frequently questions:
When the bearing clearance is too small, the most likely situation is that the bearing is hot, and if the speed is fast, there may be burning-out phenomenon.
